
CDA Launched Green Initiatives for Environment-friendly Goals
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a green initiative for a sustainable environment in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). This groundbreaking step is great at transforming Islamabad`s climate and offers a way to control heat waves in the Summer. CDA Spokesperson, Nauman Khalid also mentioned some other necessary projects such as Automated car parking, 200 electric buses, tree-plantation drive, and bicycle routes. All of these eco-friendly steps are going to add to the green landscape of Islamabad.

Mr Khalid also stressed the need for such initiatives to combat climate change and reduce carbon footprints. He also added that the introduction of electric buses is a dire need of the city while revolutionizing the public transport system for citizens. It will be cheap, full of amenities, and an environment-friendly transport option for commuters.
CDA Spokesperson highlighted the need for immediate expansion of bicycle routes all across the city to promote healthy activities and drive citizens to practice eco-friendly measures. The measure will also address the increasing traffic congestion in the city while enhancing the urban experience for inhabitants and visitors.
Mr Khalid also revealed a joint effort to launch a mega tree plantation drive aiming to enhance green green-covered area of the capital. This effort will also be carried out with the general public, civil society, and students from educational institutions. He also mentioned the CDA`s resolve to address a sustainable urban environment, while making Islamabad a beacon of hope.
