
ADB, UNICEF Join Hands for Clean Water & Waste Management in RWP, BWP
Islamabad: The United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have joined hands to work on projects in Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur. These include water, sanitation, and waste management to enhance the living standards of the citizens in Punjab Province.

According to the sources, the said partnership between both entities will provide a much-needed relief to the 1.5 million residents of both cities. The project will enhance services and infrastructure for the betterment of the overall living of the urban residents. The projects will also be reducing climate effects for women and children. Similar efforts were taken into account during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The DREAMS project under the ADB, initiative focuses on enhancing the quality and reliable services. The Country Director of ADB for Pakistan Yong Ye, and a representative of UNICEF, Abdullah Fadil stressed the need for this project for water supply and waste management challenges.
